What is ACLS?

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is for healthcare professionals who manage cardiovascular emergencies. Bayside CPR offers AHA ACLS courses.

Renewal courses are shorter, typically around 6 hours for the traditional option. Blended and CPR Verification Station options are even faster, focusing on skills validation.

Blended Learning & CPR Verification Station: Online portion 2-4hrs + in-person skills check-off (under 1 hour).

AHA ACLS course completion cards are valid for two years, regardless of how you complete the training, whether in-person, blended learning, or via CPR Verification Station. All formats provide the same official AHA eCard.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who may respond to cardiovascular emergencies, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other advanced healthcare providers.

Bayside CPR offers three convenient options:

  • Traditional: Attend a full in-person ACLS course.
  • Blended Learning(Fast Track): Complete the online AHA HeartCode ACLS, then attend a skills check-off at Bayside CPR.
  • CPR Verification Station (Most Popular): Complete the online portion(included) and skills check off at our CPR Verification Station.

A pre-assessment may be required for instructor-led courses to gauge your current knowledge. The HeartCode online portion includes assessments as well.

After you complete the class or skills evaluation, you will receive an email from the American Heart Association with instructions on how to claim your course completion card. All AHA cards are digital and can be accessed anytime.

The American Heart Association requires having access to the ACLS Provider Manual while your course completion card is current.

If you’d like to purchase a book, we have books available at our conveniently located training locations.

We also provide a helpful study guide under our resources tab on this website.

Bayside CPR does not issue CEUs or CMEs. If you need CME credits, you can claim them by clicking on “Claim CE Card.” These credits are not required for the class, they are only necessary if your governing body requires something beyond the AHA course completion card.

We have multiple convenient locations across Maryland and Washington D.C. to provide American Heart Association courses for BLS, CPR, ACLS, and PALS, where you’ll receive your official AHA course completion card upon successful completion.
